Don Khon. Ainsi, même sur cette île perdue au milieu des 4000 îles du Mékong, à l’extrême sud du Laos, non loin de la frontière cambodgienne, la vie est là. Avant le lever du soleil, je me surprends à être déjà debout, sans doute réveillé par les poules et poussins voisins. Loin du tumulte sud asiatique, les bruits ont changé. Pas de voiture, quasiment aucune moto, seul le vélo sur terre et la pirogue sur l’eau permettent de se déplacer. Nous habitons dans l’ancien dispensaire français au charme suranné. De magnifiques fleurs de Lotus éclairent le devant de notre petite terrasse tandis qu’un gibbon, a dès les premières heures, adopté les enfants. Un petit nid au dessus du Mékong. On peut même entendre l’eau qui s’écoule doucement malgré la saison sèche. Une jeune fille va et vient, bambou sur l’épaule, remplir ses deux seaux d’eau du Mékong. Plus loin sur la rive, une femme se lave tranquillement. Deux hommes chapeau de paille sur la tête descendent le fleuve en pirogue pour une nouvelle journée de pêche. Seul le ronron de leur moteur vient perturber ce calme vertigineux. On ose à peine parler. Chacun ici vient profiter de cette sérénité imposée par les éléments naturels. Le soleil fait lentement son apparition sur la rive opposée. Les couleurs sont sublimes. Tout d’un coup les maisons de paille et de planche brillent de mille feux, les cocotiers deviennent encore plus élégants. Dans l’eau la vie continue. Une petite fille se lave à son tour tandis qu’un buffle semble immobile au milieu du fleuve. Une autre pirogue charrie des écoliers vers un avenir prometteur. Deux bonzes tout de orange vêtus, sont sur le chemin du retour vers la pagode, portant les offrandes du matin. J’entends maintenant les coups de hachoir de la voisine préparant son prochain wok de légumes. Je ne sais toujours pas quelle heure est-il… peut-être l’heure de profiter de cet air frais matinal. Tiens Anatole est réveillé. Une nouvelle journée commence sur Don Khon.

ça donne envie d'y être... Peut-être un avant goût de nos prochaines vacances... Pour l'instant, c'est la grisaille qui l'emporte sur la bretagne même si le printemps est arrivé (mais uniquement sur le calendrier). Merci beaucoup de nous faire voyager ! ça nous sort de notre train-train. Je trouve votre aventure courageuse avec vos trois loulous. Ayant nous-mêmes deux loulous de 4 ans et presque deux ans, je me demande comment Anatole, surtout, vit ce magnifique périple. Bonne continuation et profitez pleinement de ces moments magiques.
